2 year Preschool Program

The children have daily Bible lessons, a weekly memory verse, and a Chapel program twice a month. They will work on Language development and listening skills that include color words, shapes, animals, transportation, countries, community helpers, health, safety, manners, and science. 2 to 2 ½ year olds will learn simple counting with numbers one through twenty five and work on concepts for numbers 1 – 10. They will learn traditional and fun songs in Music. Following directions and learning colors and shapes will be worked on as well as improving their eye-hand coordination in Arts & Crafts. Physical activity will be achieved through recess and free play.


When enrolling in our Two or Two and a Half Year Old Preschool, a child must be 2 or 2 ½ years of age by November 1, of the enrollment year. During class, our Two and Two and a Half Year Olds will work on Language, Numbers, Music, Arts & Crafts, and Bible lessons and memory verses. They work on curriculum in the morning before lunch using the Abeka Christ centered program. Care for our two or two and a half year olds is available from 6 am to 6pm, Monday through Friday. Abeka provides age appropriate learning activities for each age group. Denbigh Christian Academy is a USDA provider ensuring our children receive proper nutrition. 

Being potty trained is a goal for our two and two and a half year olds. A schedule has been developed to help our little ones train and learn when they need to go to the bathroom. They must go without an accident while at school for four weeks before they are considered fully potty trained. Their teacher will notify the office.

Community helpers, like firemen, policemen, and dentists visit our classes throughout the year, sharing and demonstrating their skills and equipment used in their daily job duties. This experience can help the children understand they are there to help them if the situation or need arises.
